Step inside a world of bubbles

First, we make the bubbles.

Then we hand over the equipment and let everyone else discover how much joyful chaos they can create.

Cirque Um Navigate’s Bubble Pop! Workshop combines a lively miniature bubble show with a hands-on experience in which participants learn to make enormous bubbles themselves.

There are laughs, curious bubble science and approximately a litre of prepared bubble solution available per participant.

We take bubbles seriously.

We have yet to discover a serious way of popping one.

Begin with a Bubble Show

Every workshop begins with a performance filled with bubble tricks, enormous floating creations and plenty of bubbly fun.

The show captures everyone’s attention, introduces the equipment and demonstrates what is possible before participants begin experimenting for themselves.

It also answers an important question:

Just how large can a bubble become?

Considerably larger than most people expect.

Become a Bubble Artist

After the show, participants learn how to use our bubble-making equipment and create giant bubbles of their own.

Our facilitator demonstrates the techniques before helping everyone experiment with movement, timing and the wonderfully unpredictable behaviour of bubble solution.

Participants can:

Learn how to form large bubbles
Experiment with different bubble-making tools
Explore how movement and air affect a bubble
Create long, strange and wobbly bubble shapes
Work together on larger bubbles
Pop an extraordinary number of bubbles
Develop the beginnings of genuine bubble artistry

We bring roughly a litre of prepared bubble solution per participant, depending on the session and group size. That gives everyone plenty of opportunity to practise, experiment and enjoy the experience properly.

We do not arrive with one small bucket and ask 40 children to take turns looking at it.

Stand Inside a Giant Bubble

The workshop can finish with an opportunity to stand inside a giant bubble.

Participants step into position while our bubble artist raises a shimmering wall around them, creating a remarkable photograph and a particularly strong temptation to hold very still.

It is a magical conclusion to the activity—and photographic evidence that somebody was, briefly, inside a bubble.

The availability of individual photographs will depend on participant numbers, session length and event conditions.

Vacation Care & OOSH

Bubble Pop! is an excellent vacation care and OOSH activity because it combines a show, physical participation and open-ended experimentation.

Children are introduced to a new skill before being given enough time and materials to explore it themselves. The activity encourages movement, coordination, observation and cooperation while remaining tremendously fun.

It is particularly suited to groups looking for something more substantial than a short performance but less formal than a classroom lesson.

Agricultural Shows & Festivals

At agricultural shows, festivals and family events, Bubble Pop! can be presented as a scheduled workshop or included within a larger Cirque Um Navigate entertainment package.

A bubble show gathers the audience before the hands-on activity begins. Participants can then learn, play and create while other family members watch, photograph and become increasingly tempted to join in.

The workshop can be combined with:

Roving bubble entertainment
Circus workshops and playspaces
Magic or circus shows
Stilt walkers and characters
Other hands-on activities

This allows bubbles to become part of a larger day of entertainment rather than one isolated performance.

Generous quantities of bubble solution require proper planning.

We consider the surface, performance area, group numbers, weather, wind and movement of participants before confirming the best setup.

Our facilitators manage the solution and equipment throughout the workshop, adapt the activity to the conditions and provide clear instructions before participants begin.
