Cirque Um Navigate’s Magic Sands Workshop gives children an entire world of soft, mouldable sand ready to become castles, creatures, landscapes and sculptures limited only by imagination—and occasionally gravity.
Perfect for vacation care and OOSH, this hands-on indoor activity combines sensory play, creative construction and guided challenges inside our contained modular build zone.
No sunscreen required.
Shape an Entire World
Participants begin by learning the basic techniques of building with Magic Sands.
Our facilitator demonstrates how to compact, mould, carve and join the sand before inviting everyone to begin creating.
A simple tower might become a castle.
The castle might acquire a moat, a bridge and an alarming number of dragons.
Before long, the table has become an entire landscape filled with structures, creatures and stories that did not exist when the session began.
Participants may create:

Roads, bridges and curious structures

Collaborative scenes built across the group
There is no required finished result. Children can follow a challenge, develop an idea with friends or simply enjoy discovering what the sand can do.
Build, Squash and Begin Again
Magic Sands makes experimentation part of the fun.
If a tower falls, it can be rebuilt.
If a sculpture goes wrong, it can be squashed and transformed into something entirely different.
Nothing is wasted and no unsuccessful attempt needs to remain unsuccessful for long.

The Magic Sands Workshop is particularly well suited to vacation care and OOSH because it offers a substantial indoor activity that children can approach at their own level.
Some participants carefully refine one detailed sculpture. Others build quickly, demolish enthusiastically and immediately begin again.
Both are doing it correctly.
The workshop can include guided demonstrations, creative prompts, individual challenges and collaborative builds. It can also be adapted around holiday themes, imaginary worlds or group projects.
A Beach Without the Usual ConsequencesWe bring the sand, tools and infrastructure required to create a contained indoor activity area.
Our modular tabletop build zones provide defined spaces for construction, while protective matting beneath the activity helps manage the inevitable wandering grains.
